About the Artist

Haitian-American artist, Samuel Léger, also known as Sam Night, is an oil painter based in Houston who creates large scale surreal portraits. Professionally trained in 3D animation, Sam learned various techniques to create a sense of depth and realistic lighting, which continue to be key staple elements of his work. He began his art career in 2016 with a mystical urban style that captured the attention of recording artist Erykah Badu and leading her to becoming his first collector. His work has been featured at the Houston Museum of African American Culture, in the reality dating show “Ready to Love”, and more recently in the Vanguard Art show.
